Proximity to present current online video markets for Google TV and Hulu
TOWSON, MD - May 15, 2010 - Proximity, the leading Gen-Y media strategy group, announced today that Lucas Lichtenberg, associate media analyst at Proximity, will be presenting at the 2010 New Markets/New Media conference held at the Burkshire Marriott Conference Hotel on May 17, 2010 in Towson, MD. He will be covering the " Online streaming TV market" and look at Google TV vs Hulu and how they can get an advantage in the market.
Recently, there has been a change for everything to become internet connected. It started out with computers and now most phones can access the internet.
With the spread of broadband Internet access, video clips have become very popular online. Whereas most of this content is non-exclusive and available on competing sites, some companies produce all their own videos and do not rely on the work of outside companies or amateurs.
Soon, TV will be accessed straight through your computer to a higher video quality than the one that the exists now in online streaming video. Certain companies like Google and Hulu are already working towards making an internet TV.
In 2011, there is expected to be 430 Billion dollars spent on online advertising, most of which will go to the companies that attain the most customers and viewers. Online TV producers are interested in acquiring the bulk of this money by attracting the most viewers.
" Picture quality is very important to the viewer and unless Hulu can better the quality, their online subscription service may not be rewarding", says Lichtenberg. Google TV is trying to integrate the internet straight to the viewers TV through a set-top box, however exact descriptions of their plan are still unknown.
